I make zines.

My work explores the intersections of bodies, faith, culture, ethics, sexuality, and creativity. My zines contain work that tries to be helpful, is sometimes fiction, is occasionally spooky, and is always fun. In addition to my zines, I write conventionally-published books and articles.

Why Zines?

DIGNIFY LABOR

Social media expects creators to do most of their creative work for free, in order to build a following that eventually enables paid publication. Zines flip the script by dignifying accessible work with a tiny price.

SUPPORT INDEPENDENCE

Conventional publication is a beautiful thing… and it’s hard work. Zines are a method of independent publication that complement – but don’t replace – conventional routes of publication, empowering creators to share their work as much as they can, however they can!

GIVE YOUR BRAIN A BREAK

Scrolling is exhausting. And in today’s news cycle, it can feel really bad. Take a break and read something without ads, without FOMO, and without blue light.

GET WEIRD

“The rules are there ain’t no rules.” Zines let you do that random thing you’ve always wanted to do. The sky’s the limit!

TRY SOMETHING NEW

Why be stuck to just one genre? Give fiction a try. Screenwriting. Poetry. Art. Music. Photography. Zines let your creative brain run wild and free!
