Hi

I’m Madison

Writer. Speaker. Artist.

Mission Statement

My writing presents honest, nuanced, faith-informed and thought-provoking ideas that leave room for fun, for rest, and for community building. I encourage people to embrace their bodies, ask questions of their faith, and rediscover middle spaces in their lives through creative thinking.

Background

I have always been a creative writer. I studied multi-genre creative writing for many years before realizing the questions I was chasing were theological ones. I began writing online to start conversations that weren’t happening elsewhere about bodies, disability, faith, productivity culture, and interfaith dialogue. My small but mighty corner of Instagram is a space where the hot topics of the day – most often around disability, wellness, LGBTQ+ concerns, and Church issues – can be discussed with nuance, firmness, and humor.

Vision for the Future

MadisonChastain.com is the hub of my work. From long-form nonfiction to poetry, from flash fiction to visual art: If I make it, you’ll find it here. My first book, Mosaic (Life Teen Inc.) will be released to the public in summer of 2023. My zine subscription is a quarterly mailing full of never-before-seen work that doesn’t quite fit the conventional publication mold. TheologyForEveryBody.com, my original blog, will eventually transform into a crowdsourced hub of nuanced theological resources on all sorts of topics, and expand into an all-encompassing brand that aims to grow out the community that’s already begun.
